The founder of the company Mr. Stelios Kanakis is working for his father's business, which is producing oils and shortenings for bakery and confectionery.

First visit of the founders of STELIOS KANAKIS ABEE in Dragsbaek Margarinefabrik in Denmark.

23.4.1985

First consignment of Dragsbaek margarine is unloaded at Kanakis Co.

1993

Conversion of the business into a Societé Anonyme under the name "STELIOS KANAKIS ABEE".

1996

Acquisition of land in Acharne-Attiki (total area of 10.500 m²) for the construction of new modern premises.

4.12.2000

Completion of construction of STELIOS KANAKIS ABEE' s modern warehouse facilities and offices based in Attiki.

18.7.2002

First day of trading of 20% of the Company's shares in the Athens Stock Exchange.

December 2002

Acquisition of land in the Thessaloniki industrial area (total area of 10.500 m²) for building the Company's new branch in the North of Greece.

2003

Acquisition of new pieces of land around the current main facilities in Athens (total surface of land:15.270 m²)

October 2003

Opening of the "Athens Center of Gastronomy" within the main facilities building in Acharne - Attiki.

2004

The Company starts with a fast pace its penetration to the Cypriot market.

November 2005

Beginning of construction of the new privately owned warehouse and office facilities in Thessaloniki.

5.3.2007

Starting of operations of STELIOS KANAKIS ABEE' s branch in the North of Greece. The brand new distribution center in the Industrial Area of Sindos signalizes the start up of the Company' s export activity in the wider Balkan region.

September 2007

Beginning of the programs of the Thessaloniki Center of Gastronomy within STELIOS KANAKIS ABEE Northern Greece.

December 2007

The company strengthens its position in the area of Kosovo through the signing of an exclusive distribution agreement with the company AR & BI SHPK.

May 2008

Signing of an exclusive agreement for the distribution and promotion of STELIOS KANAKIS ABEE's products in the Bulgarian market with the Bulgarian company ALMA LIBRE LTD.
